		Moving coal at Moatize Mine Vulcan's stratigraphic block modelling functionality using HARP techniques is providing mine planners at Vale's Moatize mine in Mozambique with accurate quality and volume information not possible with grid-based models.
		Tetramodels at Plutonic Mine Tetramodelling is an efficient modelling method, requiring only one or two modelled surfaces compared to hundreds of wireframes. Barrick is using Vulcan tetramodelling at the Plutonic Gold Mine in Western Australia to easily identify areas of economic importance.
		More than pipe dreams Laser scanning of plant and infrastructure requires short range and high accuracy to produce 3D detailed models suitable for CAD drafting. In Australia, Maptek is using the Z+F 5010 laser scanner to deliver fast, detailed measurements and models for infrastructure projects.
		Geotechnical tools with I-Site Studio The new I-Site Geotechnical Module follows a simple intuitive workflow to allow geologists and geotechnical engineers to take control of the information they need to analyse structures and surfaces. This complements the I-Site Studio 3.5 release, which includes enhancements to filtering, speed and 3D data outputs.
		Scanning Glenwood Canyon Colorado Department of Transport used a combination of radar and I-Site 8800 laser scanning systems to record baseline measurements in the Glenwood Canyon. The results wil help the authority to identify and monitor areas prone to rock slides near the I-70 highway.
