MineSuite Training
Maptek has designed a series of training modules designed to provide users with the skills needed to improve their level of expertise in MineSuite.
Module 1 - Introduction and Data Entry - covers fundamental concepts of MineSuite
- Provides an overview of the building blocks of MineSuite, namely Processes, Locations, Events and Delays. (Detailed training on setting up these building blocks is included in Module 4.)
- Equips personnel with the basic skills to open shifts and enter assignments, production data and delays against equipment in that shift. It explains the data entry shift screen, and includes troubleshooting.
Module 2 - Tools and Basic Reporting (run in conjunction with Module 1)
- Builds on the previous course by introducing personnel to Shift Management, Data Management and Planning. Data management involves performing specific functions such as the Surveyor’s correction and location reconciliation. Planning mostly involves setting up budgets and targets (comparing forecasting and re-forecasting figures on production statistics).
- Details the Time Allocation chart used to set up Events which represent Key Performance Indicators that may be used on-site and in reporting.
- Introduces MineSuite’s free-format reporting module. Reporting concepts will be explained, leading to the creation and generation of basic queries and page reports.
Module 3 - Advanced Reporting
- Builds on training covered in Module 2, introducing the concept of datasets and the use of these in Pages.
- Also covers page batches, exporting reports and the task scheduler.
Module 4 - System Setup (Administrator’s Course)
- Demonstrates how to set up a calendar, shift, groups and personnel in MineSuite.
- Also covers the engineering setup section of the software
- By the end of the course, trainees will able to add new equipment, locations and delays into the MineSuite database. Events which can be modelled (KPIs) are also explained in detail.
Module 5 - Hardware Maintenance
- Introduces MineSuite hardware maintenance and basic troubleshooting, enabling users to diagnose and correct system faults.
- Areas covered include:
- System components and interconnection
- Program downloads
- Interpreting and understanding diagnostic screens
- Fault-finding techniques
Module 6 - Online Administration
- Builds on Modules 1-4, covering diagnostics and maintenance from a software administrator’s perspective.
