Maptek customers along the Dakar Rally route

Congratulations to Barrick’s Andrew Scott who set out in early January to tackle the 2013 Dakar Rally through arduous terrain in South America.

Andrew completed Stage 3, having battled coastal sections and 100 km dunes in Peru and northern Chile, before being forced to withdraw on January 11.
