Get the most out of Maptek Training

“Oh my goodness, where did the time go!” I hear this statement more often than not. The mining industry, in particular, is always racing against time: there are deadlines for budgets, drilling plans and blasts, and even simple deadlines for everyday tasks. When I ask clients what’s holding them back from training, it’s usually that they do not have the time, or will not get enough out of a scheduled course. Time is of the essence when deadlines need to be met.

Product training is one of the staples at Maptek. We provide Maptek Vulcan and I-Site classes that are designed to get clients up to speed as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same needs. Each site, and each position on site, uses different tools and workflows to get the job done. Information is mostly delivered via classroom style, but in some cases more specific training is needed.

Clients are in good hands when that’s the case because Maptek will customise content and deliver it in a way that is convenient for the client.

For example, say you’re a new geologist on site with multiple tasks. You need to be able to handle grade control, manipulate block models, plan drillholes, and have a basic understanding of geostatistics. We can create a class, with your data or with ours, that will help you improve your skills. Maptek geologists who use Vulcan every day understand your needs and will help you deliver.

Or maybe you have different employees who need training each day. Maptek can provide individualised workshop style training. New sites can use this style of training and consulting for setup and implementation of Maptek products.

Region-specific online services are another option for Vulcan and I-Site training. No plane tickets, no travel fees and no hassle with being off site. We work around your schedule and are available throughout the day.

So, next time you’re worried about scheduling time for training or can’t find the course you’re looking for, give us a call. Whatever you need, we are happy to help!
