I-Site Makes “Most Accurate 3D Model of the Sphinx Ever”

Dr. Zahi Hawass and a team from the Mubarak Scientific City recently used an I-Site laser scanner to make the “most accurate 3D model of the Sphinx ever”, including a detailed model of the face of the Sphinx. Dr. Hawass plans to use the models to measure the impact of humans and the environment on the Sphinx to better plan conservation efforts.

According to Dr. Hawass, “It is the best scientific record of the Sphinx I have ever seen!”
