Chief Surveyor - Nevada Gold Mines
Ben McKnight is the chief surveyor at Nevada Gold Mines, the single largest gold-producing complex in the world.
As the chief surveyor Ben oversees a forty-mile stretch of mine and a team of seventeen surveyors and drone pilots.
Prior to Nevada gold mines, Ben worked with Barrick as a chief surveyor and studied diesel technology at great basin college.
Ben’s been utilizing Maptek’s PointStudio to assist with the processing and modeling of the point cloud data acquired by Maptek laser scanners and drone flights.
